The Impact You'll Make - Your contribution will help ensure PHBS continues to provide accessible, high-quality financial mentoring and support to those who need it most. By strengthening our governance, you'll play a direct role in improving financial capability, resilience, and wellbeing across our community.

Commitment - This is a voluntary, unpaid position requiring a few hours per month, including attendance at monthly Board meetings (held in the evening) and occasional strategic planning sessions.

As a Board Member, you'll provide strategic leadership and governance to help guide an organisation that has been supporting individuals and whānau to achieve financial wellbeing for over 40 years. Working alongside fellow trustees and the Manager, you'll help ensure PHBS remains sustainable, responsive, and continues to deliver high-quality financial mentoring services to our community. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills to create lasting social impact.

Requirements

What We're Looking For A passion for supporting your local community and making a positive social impact. Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to governance and long-term planning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Integrity, sound judgement, and a commitment to good governance. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a Board team. A willingness to actively contribute to discussions and decision-making. An understanding of governance and strategic oversight (previous Board experience is an advantage but not essential).
