We are seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join our friendly committee and help ensure the financial health of our small community organisation.

New Brighton Project in a non profit organisation working at a grassroots level to provide relevant and positive connection opportunities for our hapori. These include, running a Saturday Market, managing Seaside Sounds community radio station, a monthly newsletter for the coastal community and being involved in our communities engagement wellbeing outcomes.

As Treasurer, you'll work alongside our coordinators and committee members to maintain accurate financial records, monitor income and expenses, and provide a simple monthly financial report to keep everyone informed. You'll play an important role in helping us make good decisions and continue delivering positive outcomes for our community.

What the role involves:

Attending a committee meeting once a month (Wednesday evenings) Preparing a brief monthly financial report Working collaboratively with our coordinators and committee.

Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or treasurer experience is helpful but not essential

This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills and help strengthen a community organisation making a difference locally.
