Activities assistant - Evergreen

Evergreen is seeking friendly and reliable volunteers to support our members and assist with day-to-day activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference while gaining valuable experience in a caring environment. About the Role As a volunteer, you will help create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our members. You will assist with refreshments, activities, and general support throughout the day. Key Responsibilities • Assisting with serving morning tea • Engaging and interacting with members • Cleaning up after morning tea • Supporting and participating in activities • Helping with lunch setup and clean up. • Joining in and encouraging member participation in activities What We’re Looking For • Physically capable of assisting with day-to-day tasks • Full driver’s licence and confidence driving a van (up to 6 passengers) (training will be provided) • Experience in a caring or support role is preferred • Nursing students are encouraged to apply • Confident and comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport What You’ll Gain • Valuable hands-on experience in a caring environment • Opportunities to build communication and interpersonal skills • A chance to make a meaningful contribution to the community
