We’re seeking friendly volunteers who live in or near Phillipstown to spend time with gentlemen who enjoy getting out and making the most of life. There are 3 gentlemen each has a wide range of interests and enjoy: Gentleman #1 enjoys: Chatting about anything to do with cars; listening to rock music (including live music); going to Riccarton market; going for a drive; going for walks; having a coffee; going to Timezone; going to play pool. Gentleman # 2 is passionate about music from the 60,70,80 eras including punk, The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Rolling Stones, he enjoys walking on the flat, going to rock concerts, going for a drive, going to Pennylane to buy CD's and posters, ten pin bowling, woodwork and pottery, and would love to spend time chatting with a friend Gentleman # 3 enjoys: going out and about, music, animals, going to the gardens, painting, darts, going to the Working Mens Club

What they are each looking for: A social, easy-going person who lives nearby and enjoys a mix of activities—from relaxed chats to getting out and about. About the programme: • Volunteers must be aged 18 years or over • Volunteers should live near the person they will be supporting • Full training and ongoing support is provided by IHC • Police vetting and reference checks are required before volunteering • Volunteer matches are carefully made based on shared interests, location and availability.
