Netball Manurewa is more than just netball we are a diverse, community-led organisation committed to creating opportunities, connection, belonging, and positive experiences for our South Auckland whānau to be active in a community facility.
We currently have FOUR Board Member vacancies available and welcome expressions of interest from people who are passionate about community, governance, and making a difference. Ideal Applicant We are particularly interested in people with skills or experience in: • Financial experience including commercial, processes and literacy • Philanthropy, fundraising and sponsorship • Strategic thinking and community development • Not-for-profit organisations or-profit organisations
This is both an experienced and entry-level governance opportunity, ideal for someone wanting to grow their governance experience, or apply existing experience in a supportive and values-led environment. There is also potential over time for leadership progression, including future Chairperson opportunities.
We would love to hear from people who: • Have confidence in Te Ao Māori, or a willingness to learn and grow in this space • Understand or value multicultural South Auckland communities • Bring fresh ideas, collaboration, and a people-first mindset • Care about sport, youth, whānau, and community wellbeing
Time commitment is approximately 4 hours per month for Board meetings, plus occasional sub-committee involvement, board paper reading, and attendance at key organisational events.
