Love a Walk, a Coffee or a Borad Game?

Got a bit of spare time and keen to hang out, chat, and try something new? This could be right up your alley.

IHC is looking for a friendly, easy-going volunteer to spend time with someone in Birchville, Upper Hutt who enjoys getting out and about and sharing the simple, fun things in life. Think park visits, easy walking tracks and wandering along the riverbank — plus a good mix of games like Uno or pick-up sticks.

There’s plenty to bond over indoors too — from movies to tech, gaming and a bit of PS4 time. If you’re into sci-fi, Star Wars or Marvel, you’ll have lots to yarn about….and of course, nothing beats heading out for a coffee and a good natter.

This is a great match for someone who’s open-minded, down-to-earth and keen to build a genuine friendship. The person you’ll spend time with is independent, lives in their own home, and enjoys getting around the community.

Why this is a great opportunity: • Share your interests and try new things together • Build a real, relaxed friendship • Get out and about in the local community • No special skills needed — just a friendly attitude and a willingness to connect. If you’re in or near Upper Hutt and this sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you.

Sometimes the best days are the simple ones — a walk, a game, and a good chat.
