Recreate NZ is a not-for-profit which provides life changing opportunities for youth with intellectual disabilities. Our core objective as an organisation is to provide quality youth development and outdoor adventure opportunities for young people with disabilities.
Our education programme volunteers offer their time as a support buddy/leader, which involves working with our youth for the day on Tuesdays/Thursdays during the school term. We provide programmes for Youth & Young Adults (15-35 year olds) with intellectual disabilities.
Your role will mainly consist of...
- Assisting Recreate NZ staff members to run our regular midweek Educational Life Skills Programmes.
- Assisting participants to actively participate in our regular midweek Educational Life Skills Programmes.
The days and times are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8.30am - 4pm, and require an 7-10 week commitment during the school term.
