Daffodil Day Area Coordinator

Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society’s most important annual fundraiser - the funds raised are vital, allowing us to continue our support of those diagnosed with cancer in our communities.
We rely on enthusiastic and well-organised volunteers to help coordinate our Daffodil Day appeal, and are on the lookout for Daffodil Day Area Coordinators.
This role is hugely rewarding!
Our Area Coordinators are located all across Waikato and Bay of Plenty - no matter where you are, if you have any interest in helping out, we'd love to hear from you.
We are specifically looking for Area Coordinators in Cambridge, Hamilton, Huntly, Mangakino, Ngaruawahia, Ngatea, Omokoroa, Pokeno, Taumarunui, Te Awamutu and Waitomo, however if you are based elsewhere and would like to put your hand up - we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities include: - Organising Daffodil Day collection sites in your community
- Leading a team of volunteers (includes sourcing volunteers, rostering for the street collection and maintaining - communication)
- Promoting Daffodil Day in your area
- Organising pre-sales of fresh daffodils (where applicable)
- Managing money (collection buckets/pre-sales/counter boxes/banking)
- Managing resources and merchandise (allocation and collection of promotional materials, stocktaking) To be successful in this role, you’ll be:
