IHC Volunteer Opportunity – Make Someone’s Day with a Friendly Video Chat

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic volunteer to connect with a lovely individual who enjoys friendly conversation and shared activities over Facebook Messenger video calls. This person would love to interact and connect with a new friend, especially with someone who’s happy to help guide the conversation and keep things flowing in a relaxed, natural way.

What this role involves: • Spending time chatting and connecting via video calls • Leading and shaping the conversation in a fun, easygoing way • Sharing things on screen (e.g. pictures, videos, activities) • Bringing positivity, creativity, and a willingness to think outside the box Interests include: • Aeroplanes (watching them, learning about them, talking about them!) • Word finds and puzzles • Arts and crafts • Baking and cooking We’re looking for someone who: • Loves connecting with people and building rapport • Is confident leading conversations in a gentle, inclusive way • Is comfortable with natural pauses and varied communication styles • Brings patience, kindness, and a sense of fun • Is keen to brighten someone’s day and make a real difference
