We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to build a meaningful connection with someone who enjoys easy-going chats and creative, relaxing activities. Such as: visiting the gardens, painting, listening to music or even social outings, including trips to the Working Men’s Club

Make a difference in your community - volunteer with IHC! Play a big part the life of a person with an intellectual disability and the work IHC does by joining one of our Volunteer Friendship or Skill-based Learning or Group Volunteering Programmes.

Type of volunteer role: Friendship About the programme: • Volunteers must be aged 18 years or over • Volunteers should live in close proximity to the person they will be supporting • Full training and ongoing support is provided by IHC • Police vetting and reference checks are required before volunteering • Volunteer matches are carefully made based on shared interests, location and availability.
