Parking Attendant

Multicultural Recreation and Community Centre (MRCC) is in search of observant and resilient parking attendant volunteers who can communicate effectively to assist with the winter sports activities. The season runs from 13 May to 28 August 2026, from Tuesday to Friday. The time varies between 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm. You will play a crucial role in managing the parking facilities and ensuring smooth experience for the Centre users. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1. Arriving at the Centre 45 minutes before the start of the event.
2. Directing school vans for drop off and pick up points.
3. Monitoring the carpark so that only the Centre users can park in the carpark.
4. Monitoring the parking lot for security.
5. Reporting suspicious activities of safety concerns to the Centre management.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work in a multicultural environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Flexibility to work during work week.
3. Good communication is essential: ability to interact with members of the public in a calm manner and able to explain rules clearly.
4. Be able to deal with a variety of personalities and remain professional in challenging situations.
5. A team player with positive attitude.
6. Prior experience in volunteering or event assistance is an advantage but not required.
