Te Aratai College managed by Volunteering Canterbury

Logo for Volunteering Canterbury

Te Aratai College is looking for people for 1-2 hours a week, who can assist senior ākonga/students when they are completing NCEA assessment.

The task is to only read the assessment tasks along with associated resources, and record the ākonga’s/student's response. You don’t need to know anything about the topic of the assessment - in fact it is better if you don’t!

Each Reader/Writer session lasts for about 55 minutes. You can choose what day you would come into the kura/school. Furthermore you can choose the time(s) that best suit your schedule.

We are located on Aldwins Road, Christchurch East. Parking is available on site.

No experience is required, as training is provided.

You will be making a real difference to ākonga/student achievement and to the future of our young people. If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please do contact us for more information.
