Ellesmere Promotions Trust managed by Volunteering Canterbury

We are a passionate group of people whose main aim is to put on free events which bring the community together and don't exclude anyone. We are on a journey and while we feel we do things well, we would like to bring people on board who can help take our journey to the next level so Ellesmere Promotions Trust (EPT) continues long after we have left. In particular, we are looking for someone to fill our Chairperson role as our current Chairperson would like to step down.

Training

We use Smartsheets to manage the day-to-day operation of EPT and for event management. Training will be provided if required.

Time required

We generally meet once a month (2nd Wednesday of the month). The Trustee's meet from 6.30 to 7.30 and then the committee join from 7.30pm. We meet at the Crate and Barrel in Leeston. We do try to limit the number of extra meetings but occasionally do need an extra meeting prior to an event. We also use email and messenger chat to limit the number of meetings. We can use teams to meet if required.

Reimbursement

We offer no reimbursement - other than working with fun people.

Requirements

You need to be a community minded person, who doesn't mind getting stuck in, rolling up your sleeves and helping - particularly on event days. The Chairperson needs to be able to bring other organisations and businesses in the community along with us for the ride.
