Te Whare Awhero - Hornby School and Community Project Volunteers

Te Whare Awhero (Hope House) is seeking volunteers to support the work we are doing in the greater Hornby area. We are working with 2 local schools to support children develop and gain new opportunities in the following areas: Development of a veggie gardens in schools Supporting an in-school Construction Club (woodwork) no experience necessary, training provided. Volunteers to support Reading Support in schools e.g. commit to reading with a child once a week. Supporting an experienced Drama artist who runs a weekly school Drama Club. If you have a hobby you may wish to share with children e.g. art, coding, sports, etc, please bring your ideas to Ingrid, everything is worth a discussion.
