Elder Care Volunteer
Anglican Elder Care Groups managed by Volunteering Canterbury
You will work with a paid co-ordinator who provides weekly programmes of activity and friendship for elderly people who might otherwise become socially isolated. You will regularly attend one of the morning or afternoon sessions helping people to take part in the program or serving refreshments etc depending on your interests. You might even provide transport so that someone can get to their nearest Elder Care Group. Elder Care Groups that are in need of the support of volunteers: Opawa at St Mark’s Church, 101 Opawa Road on Mondays at 9.30am Avonside at Holy Trinity Church, Stanmore Road on Thursdays at 1pm Woolston St John’s Church, 10 St Johns Street on Fridays at 10am
