Are you passionate about helping young people grow in confidence, develop new skills, and have fun? We urgently need enthusiastic Volunteer Leaders to join our supportive and welcoming team.

As a Volunteer Leader, you will: • Inspire and encourage tamariki to reach their potential and try new things • Be hands-on, enthusiastic, and patient • Join a supportive team and be part of a worldwide movement • Commit to weekly unit meetings during school terms, plus planning and occasional weekend events

What's involved?

  • During the school term, our leaders:
  • Attend a weekly unit meeting (up to two hours)
  • Help plan and deliver engaging activities for girls
  • Participate in occasional training sessions (evenings or weekends)
  • Attend occasional planning meetings, camps, trips, and special events

There is no cost to you to volunteer with GirlGuiding NZ. You’ll need to be 18 years or older for health and safety requirements. A driver’s licence is helpful, but not essential.

When you apply, we will find your preferred location, age group, and section that best match your skills, interests, availability, and the needs of our local units.
