Trustee - Treasurer

Help shape the future of youth wellbeing in Canterbury
Youthline Central South Island is seeking an experienced Treasurer to join our volunteer Board of Trustees and help ensure the long-term sustainability of an organisation that has been supporting young people for more than 50 years.
As Treasurer, you'll play an important governance role, providing financial oversight and helping the Board make informed decisions that enable Youthline to continue delivering vital services to young people across our community.

Youthline Central South Island is a volunteer-led youth development organisation committed to creating a community where all young people are supported to reach their potential.
For more than five decades, we have worked alongside young people, providing support, connection and opportunities for personal growth. Our work is underpinned by a strong volunteer network and a passionate Board dedicated to making a positive difference.
Our Board consists of nine trustees, bringing together governance professionals and volunteers with frontline Youthline experience. We value collaboration, diversity of thought and a shared commitment to our kaupapa.
As Treasurer, you will provide financial leadership to the Board by:

Monitoring the organisation's financial performance.

Preparing a concise monthly Treasurer's report for Board meetings.

Supporting the Board to understand financial risks and opportunities.

Reviewing annual financial statements and working with our external accountant through the year-end process.

Processing payroll for two staff members each fortnight (approximately 15 minutes per pay cycle).

Contributing to strategic discussions and good governance across the organisation.
