Learn Active is a registered charity that provides outdoor education opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities, 15 years old and above. Founded in 2013 in Christchurch.
Learn Active's mission is to: Provide a compassionate space for people with intellectual disabilities to develop personal and interpersonal skills through regular/ongoing outdoor activity programmes.
We have the following volunteer vacancies available on our board:
- Treasurer - consulting role, experience with XERO preferred
- Minute taker - including being an active general member
The board meets monthly to discuss the overall operations, visions and direction of the charity for around 2 hours in Cashmere.
Board members may have tasks to complete each month to help support the charity. This usually requires a small amount of time, an average of up to 1 hour per week. These positions are voluntary.
