FOSTER CARE SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR VOLUNTEER ROLE OVERVIEW: our rescue is seeking a reliable volunteer(s) to support our foster team and ensure each needy rescue dog receives the care and support they need on their journey to adoption. Our foster parents provide safe, loving homes for dogs in our care. This role is vital for keeping everything on track and helping our team feel supported.**

- Track each dog’s progress through the rescue
- Coordinate and schedule vet, grooming, physio, and other appointments
- Liaise with vets, physios, photographers, and foster parents
- Organise photo sessions for adoptable dogs, around five times per year
- Assist with transport to appointments or events when foster parents cannot
- Deliver foster supplies within Christchurch when needed
- Maintain accurate dog records in our systems
- Collect updates and photos for adoption profiles and social media
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new foster parents
- Help with foster education and team engagement activities
- Work with the fundraising and social media teams to highlight dogs needing homes.
Please note: this is not a hands-on animal care /management role. You will be supporting the people who provide that care, keeping processes running smoothly so our dogs can thrive. NZCR don't have a centre, so all of our dogs are in foster placements. Please see the foster parent role if this is your preference
