Arts for Health Community Trust seeks passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees and support our mission to foster wellness through creative arts and community connection. As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping our future, maintaining good governance, and expanding our services to benefit disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals in Hamilton.

Trustee Responsibilities The Board is responsible for overseeing:

  1. Governance and financial stability
  2. Organisational alignment with our core mission and values
  3. Strategic planning and decision-making,
  4. Trustees commit to attending monthly Board meetings, held every second Wednesday evening. Winter meetings are online, and in-person meetings resume in summer, with a break over December and January.
  5. Trustees are expected to dedicate 5-10 hours per month, with internet and computer access required for reviewing materials and participating effectively.
  6. Provide support to the Manager to ensure compliance with HR matters.

Application Process

  1. To apply, please submit a brief application and CV (two pages max).
  2. After review by the Board, selected candidates will be invited to a Board meeting for introductions.
  3. Following this meeting, applicants will receive confirmation of their selection status.

Requirements for Selected Trustees Successful applicants will:

  1. Pass a Police Check
  2. Provide personal information for administrative and Bank guarantor purposes
  3. Complete a Conflict of Interest form
  4. Be registered as Trustees on the Charities Commission website
