The Chaos Garden project is an initiative that came about through COLAB's Kai Security work in Te Puke.

The Te Puke Kai Resilience group is a collective of local people and organizations who have joined together to facilitate practical, educational, and social community-led initiatives that improve food security in the ward.

And what better way to do this than to develop a garden at a local school to teach our rangatahi how they can become food secure.

We are now looking at putting together a group of locals (preferably local to Pukehina) that can keep an eye on the produce in the garden and to help with harvesting it.

Requirements: 8-10 people in this group Times: every fortnight for harvesting - 1-2 hours depending on the amount of produce ready.

We would also need a couple of people to check in the garden weekly to let the rest of the group know when produce is ready to be harvested.

Harvesting times are flexible - it has been suggested evenings would be a great time to do this.
