Would you like to help a skilled migrant or refugee jobseeker from a non-English speaking background find meaningful employment? By becoming a Job Mentor with this Wellington-based organisation you will use your skills to offer support, advice and information on how to go about looking for work in Wellington, how to apply for jobs, how to write an effective CV, how to prepare for an interview and how to build networks and break into the employment field. Training is provided and mentors are then matched with a jobseeker. You will have regular contact with your jobseeker and meet every 1-2 weeks and work through a plan of action towards employment. You will also be invited to networking events to get together and share skills and ideas.
