We need volunteers to work with our team and agencies in the community to schedule workshops and liaise with volunteers in Whanganui. You will be able to volunteer remotely or in-person. Young Humanitarians | Karawhiua! aims to improve lives by inspiring rangatahi | young people to act on the humanitarian issues they care about through volunteering. The programme consists of six modules on topics like climate change, nuclear war, inclusion, and migration and are linked to local volunteering opportunities.

Your tasks:

• Coordinators are responsible for organising volunteers, creating volunteer rosters and coordinating volunteer tasks to make workshops and community-based action possible.
• Finding local volunteering opportunities.
• Organising course catering and workshop materials.
• Coordinating transport (if needed).
• Providing feedback after the programme is delivered.
