The Kapiti Foodbank provides compassionate support to meet emergency food needs in our Kapiti Community, by providing free food parcels to those in need. As an incorporated society the Foodbank is governed by a volunteer Board who are elected annually. Due to other commitments the current Chair is stepping down at the organisation's AGM in October and they are looking for an experienced Chair to undertake this leadership role.

In this role you will be skilled in democratic management and fully support the views and opinions of the Staff who work at the coalface on a daily basis and may be more aware of their community and environment than the Board. The Chair must be available to listen when required and at the Foodbank ready to roll up their sleeves when needed by either Management or Board projects, where possible.
