We are based in Whakatane and operate in Opotiki and Kawerau also. Pilots are people who ride the trishaw and Escorts are the people who accompany the trishaw and help with greeting passengers and loading them in to the bike. Our passengers are generally elderly and no longer able to ride a bike or drive for recreation. They have told us that we have changed their lives and the best part of the ride is feeling the wind in their hair. When you volunteer for us we will provide training on our electric trishaw if you want to be a pilot, or on a standard ebike if you want to be an escort. There is no expectation about amount the of time you volunteer for us but we would like you to be able to do one morning or afternoon a month if possible. We have a great team and we would love you to be part of it.
