Beaumonts Park is part of our Papakura Stream Restoration Project which aims to improve the health and mauri of the Papakura Stream and wider catchment. Come along and help us get 4000 plants in the ground this winter.

This 63km freshwater river is facing significant environmental challenges. Once surrounded by indigenous forests and kahikatea swamps, this stream has seen the loss of most of it's natural forest due to agricultural, industrial and urban developments. Today, the stream is dealing with the modern problems of litter, dumping and other man-made pollutants. CVNZ and our amazing volunteers have been working hard to restore the mauri (lifeforce) of this important awa, and have been bringing the community together to collect data, clean up litter and plant natives along it's banks and reserves.

After a day of hard mahi, recharge with a mouth-watering sausage sizzle - veggie options available

Mark your calendar, gather your friends and family, and join us for a day of fun, fulfilment and eco-action! Together, let's ensure the Papakura Stream stays beautiful for generations to come
