ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Youthmix, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organisation by attracting and recruiting passionate and dedicated volunteers. You will be instrumental in identifying and engaging with individuals who share our mission of empowering youth in New Zealand. This is a volunteer position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our community while gaining valuable experience in talent acquisition and human resources.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Create and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of talented volunteers.
• Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and alignment with Youthmix's values and goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive and engaging recruitment experience.
• Assist in the onboarding process to ensure new volunteers are well-integrated and prepared to contribute to our initiatives.
• Work closely with members of Youthmix to understand volunteer needs and provide support throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and provide updates to the management team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• An eagerness to learn about recruitment and human resources, even if you don't have previous experience in this field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire potential volunteers.
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
• Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of self-motivation.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the organisation.
