Key tasks • Minute secretary for board of Trustees • Have minutes completed within 3 days of the Board meeting and electronically send to Chairperson • Other duties as required by the board of trustees • Maintain confidentiality at all times • Meeting minutes need to record all board resolutions with a summary of any relevant background and brief discussion points – template can be provided • Have sound computer and typing skills to record minutes

Other information • Unpaid position • As a non-trustee, the board Minute taker does not have speaking rights, but can be invited to speak. They can raise a concern relating to the record, e.g. asking that a notice of motion be repeated or that a complex resolution be written down
