Neuro Connection Foundation (NCF) is a not-for-profit registered charity based in Henderson, West Auckland. For 30 years, NCF has empowered people with neurological conditions to lead more independent lives through long term physical rehabilitation. NCF provides expert support and service to Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Sclerosis patients in the wider Auckland area. Role Purpose:

The Board Secretary is the administrator of the Board and helps ensure that the board functions efficiently and in accordance with relevant legal and other requirements. They are responsible for proactively collaborating with Board Members to set up meetings, giving notice of any meetings, and promptly distributing materials such as agendas and minutes.

Duties include:

  • Organise meetings
  • Collate Board Pack
  • Maintain accurate records and documents using BoardPro
  • Record accurate minutes of board meetings. Board meetings are held monthly at NCFs West Auckland premises or mainly virtually through Zoom with meetings usually lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. There are 10 meetings per year and a further two strategic meetings are possible lasting up to 3 hours each.
  • Distribute Board Minutes within 5 working days of the meeting

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication
  • Great knowledge of administrative computer software.
  • An interest in the health community with the time and skills required to add value to NCF
  • Commitment to our foundation's mission
