Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust

We are looking for people to support our governance needs. In particular, we're looking for people with expertise in:

•Mātauranga Māori •Lived experience in the local Pasifika community, or disability community •Active involvement in the Ōtepoti/Dunedin creative arts sector a plus •Community development (including fundraising) •Leadership or governance skills (with the aim to take on the Trust’s Chairperson role over time) •Alumni of their programmes (Dunedin Fringe Festival, NZ Young Writers Festival, Amped Music Project)

Are you able to commit a few hours per month to support the Trust’s kaupapa? This is an opportunity to join are a friendly, supportive organisation that’s passionate about the role of arts and culture in healthy communities, and committed to an organisational journey of decolonisation, antiracism and equity. If you’re interested in volunteering with DFAT, they'd love to hear from you!

Commitments:

  • To attend monthly governance meetings (1 - 1.5 hours long)
  • Attendance of Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust events relating to their core programming
  • Occasional strategic meetings (1-2 annually)
  • Willingness to help with fundraising efforts when appropriate
