Auckland City Mission, believe everyone has a right to have good healthcare and medical support. That’s exactly what our Calder Health Centre does for people needing to see a doctor, podiatrist, or nurse. Our healthcare support extends beyond that too. We are one of the few primary health practices in New Zealand fully integrated with social services, which supports the care of our very high needs population, many of whom have complex healthcare needs including histories of trauma, sexual and domestic violence, mental health, addiction and challenging behaviours.

As a Calder Health Assistant you will be volunteering alongside a team of health professionals.

Tasks Include: stock rotation, checklist RE medications and general stock, infection control, call backs, recalls, basic assessments.

Experience required: someone who's worked as a Health Care Assistant, worked in a healthcare setting, or you are a retired nurse.

Hours: Can be flexible depending upon availability. Ideally half a day to one day per week. This could be a couple of hours across 2 - 3 days.

We would love to build up a pool of Health Care Assistants to be able to give flexibility to support this important service.
