Auckland Young Professionals (AYP) is a community for those within the first 10-15 years of their career to meet like-minded individuals and develop their skills through a series of educational and social events.

Note: You don't need to have prior experience in a Secretary role to apply. However, knowledge of Google Drive and project management software will be beneficial.

Position Details

  • Manage committee meeting pre-readings by collating all material inputted by the team, and distributing it to the committee ahead of each monthly meeting.
  • Follow up with the team to obtain necessary information ahead of meetings.
  • Circulate minutes after each meeting.
  • Get involved in projects where necessary within the committee, including those involving processes, administration, or subcommittees.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute organisational processes, such as policies, procedures, manuals, reading materials, and reports.
  • Ensure organisational compliance with the constitution and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain records of committee meetings, decisions, and other activities.
  • Update the onboarding pack and keep it up to date.
  • Onboard and offboard new and retiring committee members.
