• provide companionship and emotional support to patients

• offer a listening ear during a friendly chat

• assist with simple tasks like reading or playing games

• offer a sense of connection and relief during challenging times.

Effective communication skills are essential, where you are able to follow written and verbal instructions and have the confidence to talk with people from all cultures. This role is ideal for someone with good time management, is reliable and committed. Volunteers within the hospital must have a high standard of dress, good personal hygiene, and be of excellent character.
