Youth leader/Unit Team Leader & Unit Leaders Required - Awaruku Pippins

We require more amazing Volunteers to join GirlGuiding NZ to provide great Girl-Led programmes and activities for our Girls and Young Women. Join our passionate and supportive team in a well-established, long-standing organisation with growth potential. As a volunteer, you will:

During the school term, our GGNZ leaders:
- Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours
- Helping plan the term’s activities and deliver them to the girls
- Complete occasional evening/weekend training as required
- Attend occasional leader/planning meetings and trips or camps In Particular, we require a Unit Team Leader and Unit Leader for the following unit:
Awaruka Pippins is located in Waiake, Auckland, and you will support girls aged between 5 - and 7-year-olds.
The Awaruka Pippins meet on Tuesdays from 16:30 to 17:30. Awatuna Sea Scout hall, 948 Deep Creek Road, Waiake, Auckland, 0630, term-time only on weeknights or weekends.

This unit requires a Unit Team Leader; this role would suit a Unit Leader or previous Leader. We need reliable volunteers; previous experience working with youth is an advantage.

GirlGuiding New Zealand’s health and safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so this opportunity is best suited to someone older than 18.
