Waiuku Zero Waste is a community recycling centre with the coolest reuse shop. Our purpose is to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, and as you can imagine, clothing waste is a massive problem! We're talking a clothing mountain that at times can be overwhelming.

To continue to accept clothing donations, we need your help with sorting to make way for more. There are large piles of clothes that need putting on coat hangers and placing on the appropriate rack. You'll be mostly out the back in our staff-only sorting area, with our staff who are a social bunch. Sorting can be done sitting or standing.

If you have some knowledge of clothing brands, or can tell what is a quality garment, that will be a bonus but not essential.

If you love a good second-hand clothing bargain, this would be a great opportunity for you. Our shop is open 8.30am to 4pm Thurs to Sun, ideally you can commit to a couple of hours once a week.
