Activities include winter tree planting, releasing young trees from invasive weeds, and removing rubbish from local reserves. Porirua is blessed with a wide variety of ecosystems including wetlands, lowland rainforest, kohekohe/tawa/nikau rainforest, mudflats, rocky shores, estuaries, and regenerating forest.
