The Graduate Choir NZ is 21 years old, and is one of Auckland's pre-eminent community choirs, helping to foster musical talent, providing a platform for good singers, young and old, to create beautiful music and sharing this with the community through regular performances.

The Board has a strategic plan to take us forward for the future - a plan which will be invigorated by new trustees with fresh thinking and energy enabling the choir to maintain and grow its premier status in choral singing. The choir is very well run and has a Management Team who take care of operational matters whilst the trustees focus on strategy, governance and finance.

The BOT meets every other month in the evening in Parnell and also communicates via email.

We are looking for someone to join the Board and play an active role in:

• Maintaining the financial viability of the choir by increasing its financial reserves, including attracting philanthropic funding
• Increasing the public awareness of the choir
• Assisting with recruiting strategy for new choristers

A financial, legal or marketing background would be helpful, but more than anything a desire to be actively involved in supporting the growth of the choir and its mission to provide wonderful music for audiences in New Zealand and internationally.
