Social Media Manager & Content Planner-Designer
VOLUNTEER ROLE: we are seeking an experienced social media manager & content planner and designer to manage our online presence and help our rescue continue to grow.
What we need:
- Proven experience managing social media platforms, with examples of recent work.
- Strong writing and communication skills, including excellent grammar and attention to detail.
- Confident using graphic design and scheduling tools to create visually appealing content.
- Initiative, reliability, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- A consistent time commitment of 2 to 3 hours a WEEK.
What you will do:
- Create engaging posts, reels, videos, and updates about our rescue dogs.
- Work with foster parents to gather stories, images, and information.
- Promote adoption opportunities, fundraising events, sponsors,
- Use photographer images to showcase dogs needing homes or medical support.
- Manage and schedule content across Facebook and Instagram, maintaining a consistent posting and presence.
Important notes:
- This is a skilled volunteer role. Applicants must be based in New Zealand and able to provide examples of recent social media work Not suitable for those without experience or anyone wanting to simply add something to their CV.
- NZCR can provide access to Canva Pro, Adobe and other content tools.
- The role is fully remote. We welcome creative ideas that support our mission, including videos, blogs, reels, and more.
