The trees planted at Ātiu Creek will help filter contaminants before they reach our waterways and provide food and habitat for native species. Contribute towards the health of the Kaipara harbour and our goal of a predator free peninsula.

This beautiful and little visited park has extensive harbour frontage with large tracts of native forest supporting a range of flora and fauna and provides habitat for the nationally threatened New Zealand dabchick and brown teal. This is a stunning coastal area that is now under intensive regeneration. Conservation Volunteers has made a commitment to plant another 5000 trees here this winter to help restore this park back to native bush and achieve our aims of turning this area into a predator free peninsula. We would love for you to come out and escape from the city for the day to help restore this beautiful site by planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs along the gully to filter contaminants before they reach the waterway and provide important shade and habitat for native fauna.

For all our projects you are assisted by a qualified team leader who guides you through the tasks and can help you to identify and learn about native species of fauna and flora and conservation. We provide all tools and equipment and also provide transport from our office in Eden Terrace.
