We are looking for volunteers who can:

  • complete one rostered duty of 4 hours each week
  • participate in regular learning and development to ensure skills and knowledge are maintained and up to date
  • contribute to the operation of the Bureau by participating in a bureau team e.g. info team, learning and development, publicity etc.…
  • willing to be part of our Management Board
  • attend On-going Learning Sessions (OGT) and the AGM
  • help out with our annual Awareness Week and other fundraising or publicity events and anything else organised by the bureau.

We are keen to hear from anyone who can:

  • relate well with a diverse range of people
  • listen effectively and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
  • maintain confidentiality
  • be respectful of others
  • work as part of a team
  • demonstrate confidence and competence using a computer to research and record information
  • work within CAB aims, values, principles and policies
  • learn about and participate in the CAB’s commitment to effectiveness for Māori (Mauri Manaia)
  • give and receive feedback effectively, accept guidance and assistance
  • conduct interviews consistent with CAB processes and policies.
