In this volunteer role you will be a part of a team who will:

• Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skills
• Be encouraging, assertive and patient
• Be a hands-on leader and learner
• Meet new people and become part of a worldwide network
• Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours -- Complete occasional evening / weekend training as required
• Attend occasional leader / planning meetings, and trips or camps -You will also help facilitate opportunities for girls to contribute to the planning of future programmes and activities and ensure that there is a strong girl voice in the unit and that girls are heard and listened to.

The Karori West Brownies meet on Thursday's 6 - 7:30pm during school term time only and will see you working with girls aged between 7 and 9.5yrs.

There is no experience needed, but we need reliable volunteers and previous experience working with youth is an advantage. GirlGuiding New Zealand 's health and safety policy also has requirements around adult to child ratios, so we do require that you are older than 18.
