Retail Superstars Wanted - Join Our Pakuranga Hospice Shop Team!
At Tōtara Hospice, our vision is to honour living and dignify dying. We provide compassionate hospice palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their whānau across South and South East Auckland.
Our Hospice Shops play a vital role in making this possible by transforming generously donated, pre-loved treasures into funds that help keep our services free of charge. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our friendly, fun team and help make a real difference in the community.
What We're Looking For
No retail experience? No problem! We'll provide all the training and support you need. We're looking for people who:
- Enjoy meeting and helping others with a warm, friendly attitude
- Are happy to pitch in and take on a variety of tasks
- Work well as part of a team while also showing initiative
- Respect and embrace our diverse community
- Are comfortable being on their feet and doing some light lifting
- Are reliable and committed to their volunteer role
What You'll Be Doing
Every day is different! You may:
- Sort and prepare donated clothing, homewares, and other treasures for sale
- Hang, size, steam, label, and display stock
- Keep the shop looking clean, tidy, and inviting
- Assist customers and create a great shopping experience
- Help with sales and EFTPOS transactions if you're comfortable
