Have fun with us while sorting through fresh kai, so we can feed people, not landfill.

Our volunteers work out of our Hub in Avondale hand-sorting healthy and nutritious surplus food supplied by our donor organisations to be redistributed to our list of 50+ recipient charities who then go on to make up food parcels for their clients.

Our trucks arrive at our Hub with the rescued food about midday, and then it's three hours of picking through boxes to separate the good from the funky. You'll help sort through over 1 tonne of fresh foods. Every kg of food we save from landfill can make three meals for someone who needs them.

Join us from Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 3:15pm or on Saturday from 10:30am - 2:00pm. Closed toed shoes must be worn.
