Our overall aim is to increase volunteer engagement with elder care homes in Central Auckland. While working closely alongside local care homes, we are focused on two main priorities:
1) To introduce and integrate volunteers into care homes
2) To mentor volunteers as they begin their volunteering journey
We hope to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing of elders through fostering lasting connections between volunteers and elders.
