The Bishopdale Community Trust supports people in the Northwest area of Christchurch, in particular Bishopdale by: * Operating a drop-in community hub for locals to build friendships and feel supported * Running groups and activities such as card making, scrabble, walking group, mahjong * Helping people feel part of the community, particularly by hosting weekly Morning Teas and Lunches where all are welcome! * Publishing the quarterly Bishopdale Bulletin newsletter * Maintaining the online Bishopdale Directory which provides information on activities, groups and clubs, services, places of worship, schools, shops and businesses in the Bishopdale area The Community Hub is open 10:00am - 3:00pm Monday to Thursday. We rely on our Volunteers to provide governance as members of our Board, facilitate activities, host our morning teas and lunches, deliver The Bishopdale Bulletin, and provide outreach support in collecting and delivering Bread, and at Christmas Time, Hampers. Our Volunteers play an integral role in having the ability to host ESOL workshops and run Special Events throughout the year. We are always looking for ideas for new groups and/or activities, so if you have a skill you would like to share let us know!
