Co- Aotearoa

Co- Aotearoa is a recently established registered charity, Te Tiriti-led, non-partisan, and dedicated to fostering regenerative climate action through collaboration, multi-sector engagement, and systemic change. Born out of the success of the Auckland Climate Festival, which brought together 285 organisations to deliver over 400 events between 2021 and 2023, Co- Aotearoa was created to sustain that momentum and extend it nationwide. The Festival proved the power of a whole-of-society response to the climate challenge; Co- Aotearoa seeks to carry that spirit forward into new and enduring forms. Co- Aotearoa exists to foster regenerative climate action through collaboration, multi-sector engagement, and systems change. By bringing together diverse communities, iwi and hapū, organisations, and industries, we aim to create a coordinated, whole-of-society response that both tackles the crisis and builds unity, hope, and long-term resilience for people and planet.
