Bridge Valley Limited

Bridge Valley Adventure Centre is a Christian camp and outdoor adventure centre near Wakefield, Nelson. We exist to challenge and inspire people from all walks of life — physically, socially, spiritually, and mentally — in an environment of adventure, community, and faith. Each year we host school groups, churches, community groups, retreats, and holiday camps for children and young people. Volunteers play a vital part in helping us care for the site, support our programmes, and create a safe, welcoming place where people can grow. Volunteer opportunities at Bridge Valley range from practical outdoor and maintenance work through to supporting our Christian holiday camps. This may include grounds work, gardening, lawn mowing, chainsawing, sanding, painting, cleaning, kitchen support, activity support, or serving as a leader or support worker at our faith-based camps. Because we work with children and young people, all volunteers involved in holiday camps or child-facing roles must complete our onboarding and screening process. This includes reference checks, appropriate Police vetting, training, and other requirements in line with our OSCAR obligations and safeguarding expectations. We welcome volunteers who are practical, reliable, teachable, and willing to serve as part of a team. Some roles are occasional and task-based; others are better suited to people who want to become part of the wider Bridge Valley community over time.
