Mangawhai Daring Trust

In 2020, the Mangawhai Daring Trust was established as a legal entity to ensure the ongoing preservation and display of the Daring, and to promote public education and historical interest in the ship. On the 4th May 2021, the Daring was returned home to Mangawhai and placed in a temporary cradle at the Mangawhai Museum and Historical Society. Preservation work has been ongoing and now the Mangawhai Daring Trust is ready to begin construction of the Daring Discovery Centre to ensure its ongoing preservation in a humidity and temperature controlled environment.
