Satisfy Food Rescue

We are a food distribution charity. Please go to our website for an overview of what we do and our volunteers. We collect food from supermarkets and other donors on a daily basis, date check and check for suitability to distribute to our recipients. We operate two vans both leaving the depot in Rangiora at 7.45 am and these runs usually take until approximately lunch time. We return to the depot a couple of times throughout the morning. We like to have one volunteer assist the drivers. With regard to the depot, the team there check all the food for suitability, date checking and whether the produce is good enough to pass to the community. There are many volunteers who have been there since the beginning of Satisfy (10 years) and it is a social and fun place to work. Please check the photos on our website.
