Fareham Creative Space

We are a registered charitable trust in Paetūmōkai Featherston, situated in the beautiful and extensive grounds of Fareham House, set in native bush with an organic garden and a developing food forest. We offer a broad scope of creative art workshops, such as pottery, fine arts, and crafts, including textiles and sewing. These activities are open to everyone. During the week, our volunteers will be running our 'Open Studio' sessions, where you can bring your materials and work on your own creative ideas and meet others. More structured workshops are run on the weekend. We support diverse needs and cultures through āko, the process where artist and tutor learn from each other in a reciprocal way. The aim of our creative space is to promote whanaungatanga through creative activity and provision of a space to encourage social inclusion. This is a place for connectedness, community and reducing barriers to participation by creating an accessible, engaged environment for all. We support and advocate for ngā toi mo te katoa: arts for all.
